How much do compliment slips cost?
How long is a piece of string...
Well, it's best to be honest right?!
However, in all seriousness, there are a few options when it comes to compliment slips. They don't have to be difficult but they can alter the quotation quite considerably. Below, we have gone through the most common factors that will affect your compliment slips quotation so that you are totally informed on what might work best for your business and budget.
Compliment Slips Material
Also known as paperweight or stock, the material is what the actual compliment slips are and in simple terms, what the ink goes onto! There are two factors to take into consideration when choosing the material too:
- Type and
- Thickness
Firstly the type of material. This can either be a standard uncoated material and is typically in a high white colour (99% of our compliment slips are produced on this), or alternatively one of the most popular brands of paper is "Conqueror". They offer a range of different paper styles and is very high end. The feel of their paper is considerably different as they all have different textured finishes.
Secondly, is the thickness. This is represented by a number and the larger the number the thicker your new compliment slips will feel. It will be followed by the letter "gsm" which is Grams per Square Meter. Compliment slips really should be printed on nothing thinner than 100gsm otherwise they can feel a little cheap when people receive any documents from you printed on them. All of our compliment slips are printed on 120gsm which gives a far superior finish. As a guide on thickness, typically, your everyday home/office printer paper will be around the 80gsm level so when ordering your compliment slips here you will certainly notice the difference.
Compliment Slips - Finishes
Whereas the points above won't have a huge impact on the price of your compliment slips, it is the finishes that mean the world really is your lobster when it comes to how much you will pay. There are a couple of options such as:
- Foil block/blocked compliment slips - this is where certain elements of the design are picked out with a foil finish, for example, your logo or part of the design. Silver and gold are the traditional ones but many other metallic options are also available.
- Embossed compliment slips - where part of the design is raised to give a high-class finish.
How quickly do you want them?
This is the last factor in how much do compliment slips cost because many print companies will be set up for either a fast or slow operation due to the machinery they have. Some printing machines just can't do a fast turnaround and others are brilliant at it. Depending on the size of the company and machines will determine when they can get them out to you and will charge a premium for the quicker it is. Some will also have various price points for if you want it the next day, in 5 days or 10 days and this will all impact on the price. With us being the largest capacity design and print company in the UK you can be rest assured that we can deliver your compliment slips whenever you need them as all our machines here at our main production hub are constantly running and ready.
